Competition Commission chairman Peter Freeman will open the conference with a keynote speech. Topics to be covered at the conference include:

• competition law and the financial crisis; and
• cartel enforcement and the enforcement of competition law by the UK sectoral regulators.

There will also be a session covering recent developments in the world's newer competition regimes, featuring the Czech Republic, China, Russia and India, as well as an update on recent cases in the domestic courts.
